About Me
I am Dr. Andrew Michail, a Family Medicine Physician. Originally from Troy, MI—a multicultural suburb of Metro-Detroit—I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors from Wayne State University in Detroit and earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. My medical education in Detroit significantly shaped my understanding of the social determinants of health, inspiring me to found the Medical Outreach Group, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing durable medical equipment to the residents of Metro-Detroit.
As an osteopathic physician, I focus on holistic patient care, recognizing the interconnectedness of the body to optimize diagnosis and treatment plans. I believe in collaborative goal-setting with my patients to foster successful long-term health outcomes. I am actively involved in the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians (MAOFP) as a member of the Education Committee and participate in the Wellness and Diversity and Inclusion Committees.
My professional interests include medical education, chronic disease research, and healthcare innovation. Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, playing tennis, and engaging in creative arts. My goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive clinic environment, serving individuals from all walks of life and addressing a broad range of medical needs.
